Call for nominations and elections

Dear Members of the Connecticut Valley Section of the American Chemical Society,

I hope this message finds you well and in good spirits. As we approach the end of another productive year, it is time once again to call upon our dedicated members to participate in the election nominations for the Connecticut Valley Section of the American Chemical Society. Your involvement is vital to the continued success and growth of our organization.

We are seeking CVS-ACS members (due-paying members of the local section; national ACS membership is not required) who are interested in serving in leadership roles within our section. Whether you bring years of experience or are just starting out, your unique perspectives and enthusiasm can make a meaningful impact.

Positions open for nomination include:

• Chair-Elect

• Secretary

• Treasurer

• Councilor

• Alternate Councilors

Nominating someone, or yourself, is simple. Please send an email to the Elections and Nominations Committee Chair, Sourav Chakraborty, schakraborty@ccsu.edu with the nominee's name, contact information, and a brief bio. The deadline for submissions is 12/8/2025. Please check in with the person you are nominating that they are ready to serve.
